Just a little update
It’s cooling down quite a lot here. Autumn put on such a pretty display with all the colourful trees but they are starting to look quite bare now. My iPad kindly notifies me every morning if the temperature has dropped below 0, which it’s done a few times already. Next weeks minimum is -5! Thankfully I’m quite well stocked with winter clothes. I’m so grateful for central heating! It warms the whole apartment so quickly which really is a treat
We’ve been able to start having people over for dinner, which we love! I’m sooo grateful for our own space. This week is thanksgiving, I’m so excited! We’re going to a family in our revival group for thanksgiving dinner. Let the feasting commence!
Yoh, I’ve seriously been missing my friends and family back home. We are so busy at school though which is good. We’re learning a whole bunch, I love it! This culture is amazing. We’re being encouraged by someone everyday, being told how amazing we are and how powerful we are. It’s incredible how you thrive when you start to believe that people believe in you. One of the best things I’ve learnt is that I am a powerful person. I’m powerful to make decisions, to take responsibility, to have healthy relationships and to confront others in love.
We didn’t get the money we needed for our Asia missions trip deposits. We still have about a week to get our deposits in. We’re also trusting for next months rent and living expenses. We do know that God is always faithful. He’s continuously speaking and reminding us of His goodness and how He’s provided before. It’s very humbling to be so reliant on Him for our every need. The stories of radical provision that we hear everyday would blow you away! Just yesterday someone in our revival group posted on Facebook that her husband got un unexpected $10,000 cheque in the mail!!!
We have two and a half weeks left of school then it’s Christmas holidays. I can’t believe how time flies. It feels like school just started and we’re almost half way through, eeek! It’s going too fast I’m not sure yet what we’ll do for Christmas but it would be nice to go to San Francisco or somewhere with snow. I’m longing for snow again. My crazy Christmas wish is that we’d be able to go to Utrecht, Netherlands, for my birthday again (I Miss you Benjies!) I feel cheeky even typing that out when we have so many other financial needs, but God is extravagant and He’s done it before. He has no lack. I turn 25 this Christmas, Yay!
Thank you for your prayers please share our blog with friends. It’s been so cool hearing how our story has inspired a few to dream with God and I hope it will continue to do that. We love you all! If you’d like to come visit us but you think “it’s way too expensive”, I dare you to dream and ask Daddy God. That’s how we got here
I’ll try take more photos for my next update.
